The Foster Sisters’ Office Transformation

Celebrity Office Makeover

The ink was barely dry on the production deal Erin and Sara Foster signed with 20th Century Fox, but one thing was clear to them: Their industrial-looking new office needed a facelift to create an inspiring working atmosphere.

The Instagram-famous producing-and-writing sister duo turned to Decorno to help transform their simple office into one brimming with character. We matched the Foster sisters with Los Angeles based Celebrity Designer Tamara Honey, whose distinctive, soulful aesthetic was the perfect fit for the vivacious women, and our sister brand Bed Bath and Beyond offered up some stylish furnishings to complete the space.

Celebrity Office Makeover Before and After

The Fosters sisters new space on the Fox Studio lot was not quite ready for its close-up, Tamara tells us. Cold, harsh, and inspiring it was no match for their bright and bubbly personalities but this made the challenge all the more fun. Hoping to breath fresh life into the space, Tamara envisioned a fun and playful vibe.

A key early design decision was to layer patterned rugs on the rooms bare wood floors, which instantly infused warmth and movement. An inviting energy was accomplished with one-of-a-kind wall-to-wall area rugs, textured layers, lively floral arrangements and floor cushions for collaborative meetings, Tamara says. A small vintage rug in the reception area and a larger area rug with a paisley print created a foundation of personality and color.

Key Design Elements

Versatile white tables with turned-wood legs the Leick Home Cottage Laptop Desk which replaced dark, corporate desks, and the gold-and-white LumiSource Master Adjustable Office Chair were added to build a functional but feminine workspace that allowed for lots layering of accents.

Color pops punctuate the space, Tamara tells us, with contrasts of blush on a champagne velvet sofa, vibrant art on white walls, and touches of luxe brass and gold like modern gold task lamps and a gold-and-glass coffee table. A common thread that ties each vignette together is the mix of eclectic accessories and whimsical vintage accents. From an oversize gold disco ball to an oversize glass pill to a ceramic zebra, these decorative pieces are what make the space inspiring and playful, and, as Tamara notes, matches the bright and bubbly personalities of the Foster sisters.

With a little creativity and a beautifully curated collection of furniture and decor, this space was transformed. It went from dull to intriguing, unrefined to sophisticated, and unoccupied to full of soul. Finally, the Foster sisters have an office that reflects who they are.”
